Overall not an average.

This is one incredible piece of armor that is only missing a minute amount of detail to make it the best piece of 1:18 scale World War II armor available. The figure is not up to current par, but can be easily replaced. If you love World War II armor, find this piece and buy it immediately.header_notes

jsi_tiger21st Century declared bankruptcy in the first quarter of 2009, forever shutting their doors. A company based in China called JSI now has ownership of 21st Century’s molds and is producing many old favorites and completely new 1:18 scale pieces, including a new version of the Tiger I. The new version will probably be a direct remake of this tank, just with a different paint job, although it is rumored as of May 2009 that JSI is attempting to improve the quality of the molds they are producing. The piece will be distributed in America by Merit International Ltd. It is unlikely that a pack in figure will be included. Look for this at your favorite 1:18 scale online shop in June-July of 2009 for an estimated street price of $70.00-$80.00 before shipping.

  1. Another great review.

21st’s Tiger is a “Fankentank” combining the road wheels of a late-production Tiger with the double-hole sights in the barrel mantlet of an earlier production piece.

Gotta agree with the assesment of the tank driver. The later version in panzerkombi was much better, but he comes with permanently attached binoculars and no Luger P08.
