G.I. Joe Club Footloose Review

header_articulation

Footloose comes with all the standard modern Joe articulation that was used in the 25th Anniversary and Rise of Cobra toy lines, and with the added wrist articulation found on select Pursuit of Cobra and 30th Anniversary figures. Articulation is better than the majority of articulation found on the upcoming Retaliation line. Footloose has an excellent range of motion, and the new wrists help him hold his weapons in more realistic poses.

In fact, the only area that I found him lacking in movement, was the ability for his head to look up and down. It turns left and right just fine, but getting him to look up may be difficult and require so Xacto surgery on the neck post, similar to the fix many have had to perform on select modern era figures.

Paint applications are excellent, as are most of the recent “modern era” Club figures. The quality of the paint applications on the GIJCC figures are far superior to the main line Hasbro offerings. I definitely tip my hat to them on the paint’s quality control.

The uniform has a good camouflage pattern (for a modern GI Joe figure, anyways) that is crisp, and the detailing on the webgear and helmet are fantastic as well. They are subtle touches that help the figure out visually and they complement the sculpting nicely. The eyes and hair are also very crisp, and appear to be tighter than they were on the original Claymore version of this head sculpt.

The arms are cast in flesh-toned plastic, but the wrist accessories have crisp masks and there is no paint rub on the wrists like on some of the 30th Anniversary figures.

  1. LL33, try adding just a dab of Super Glue on the metal ball joints. Wait overnight, and then put the legs back on. Should tighten them up. One leg was slightly loose on one figure, but not overly so.

  2. Damn Rec, thats a great Review! my only complaint is that mine had the palsy legs which are quite loose!

  3. What a great review MR. Love the commentary, and the pics are just fantastic!

  4. Outstanding Review Rex, Thanks.
