Killzone 2 Review

The weapons are intense.  Your main assault rifle is wicked as you zoom in and shoot helmets off or blow Helghasts head’s clean off their body.  You have deadly close range Shotgun,  a flamethrower,  lethal Sniper Rifle and many more.  My personal favorite weapon is the lightning gun which electrifies your enemies in a brutal fashion.  Killzone 2 is mature rated game and it earns that tag.  The game is very graphic with blood and gore and extreme violence.  The game also has mature dialogue and setting.  I don’t recommend this for anybody under 17.

Killzone 2 excels in the visual department.  The graphics are truly stunning.  The animations are amazing.  The soldiers move so fluidly during battle and the facial and body expressions are the best I’ve ever seen at the time of the games release.  The game’s lighting is incredible and every little detail will show from the backgrounds,  debris and the soldiers detailed uniforms.

At the time of the release,  Killzone 2 was the greatest visual experience I’ve ever had with a game.  This breathtaking game still holds up as one of the best looking games over 4 years after it’s release.  The 7.1 sound isn’t to shabby either.  The lighting cracks will have you jumping,  the loud explosions will have you ducking,  the soldiers screams in pain as they are dying will give you goose bumps.  Killzone 2 delivers on the soundtrack and voice acting as well.

When it comes to any FPS,  the main focus is on the multiplayer.  Killzone 2 is no different and it doesn’t disappoint.  The online mode called Warzone pit’s the ISA vs. the Helghast.  You have 5 different game modes to choose from.
