Transformers: War for Cybertron Review

WFC also features a horde like mode called Escalation.  This is a very addicting game mode that actually allows you to play as real Transformers.  You start on a map with 3 other online players or less if you choose.  You get hit with waves of enemies over and over.  Each wave becomes more and more challenging.  You will earn perks and credits along the way.  You can use these credits to buy armor,  upgraded weapons,  health and new areas of the map.

Escalation was a huge hit among the online community.  WFC features specific trophies and achievements for completing certain tasks.  Escalation maps were also added in DLC along with new Transformers.  I enjoyed this game mode however after I gained the trophies/achievements I went back to Conquest.

I’ve mentioned the Down Loadable Content a few times already.  WFC featured two DLC packs after the games release.  The first pack titled Character and Map Pack 1 features Demolishor,  Jazz,  Shockwave, Onslaught and Scattershot.  It also features 4 new maps,  2 for Escalation and 2 for all the other game modes.

The second DLC map titled Character and Map Pack 2 features 2 new characters for Escalation Mode, Zeta Prime and Dead End.  You also get 5 new maps,  2 for Escalation and 3 for the other game modes.  Both the DLC’s were released with a $10 price tag.
