Overall I can’t say enough good things about Resistance. I love the unique story line and your crazy alien opposition. The single player campaign is enjoyable and doesn’t feel like filler like so many FPS games.
A fantastic online mode along with stellar graphics and controls help bring Fall of Man’s score to a 9 out of 10. My biggest issue with this PS3 exclusive title is the lack of extra features. As I’ve mentioned a few times already a Dual Pack release came out featuring both Resistance 1 and 2 along with DLC. This Dual Pack didn’t add anything extra to Fall of Man.
In this era of gaming which is frequently seeing the re-release of classic games done in HD, trophy support and extra features. I would love to see Resistance: Fall of Man get this treatment. I would like to see trophy support and the addition of an Online Co Op mode.
You can purchase Fall of Man at a budget price of under $20 both at retailers and on the Playstation Network. Coming soon is a review for it’s 2008 sequel Resistance 2, will it meet the heavy expectations of the first game?
