Resistance 2 Review

Resistance 2 also features the standard online competitive mode that is spread over several different maps that range from small to large.  You play up to 60 players at a time that at the time of release was the largest amount of players available on a PS3 game. Even with 60 players on a map,  I didn’t experience any lag whatsoever.

Classic online game modes are available like Deathmatch,  Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. The most intriguing online mode is called Skirmish.  In skirmish you compete on squads and receive on the fly objectives that create fun and frantic battles.  I enjoyed the Skirmish mode the most.

Resistance 2 features several Down Loadable Content options including player skins,  extra multiplayer maps and a online game mode addition titled Meltdown.  Fans of Fall of Man will recognize Meltdown.

I really enjoyed Resistance 2 and love the story and setting of the entire franchise.  I will admit that I appreciated the first game more and this title and it didn’t reach me like Fall of Man did.  If you want to experience a First Person Shooter that isn’t the same old story,  has a addicting and rewarding online mode and a fun Co Op mode,  this is the title for you.

Resistance 2 was recently re-released with Fall of Man in a dual greatest hits pack at a discounted price and is also available in stores as a single game release.  The series is exclusively for the Playstation 3 system and Resistance 2 features Trophy Support.  I award this game with a 8 out of 10 and really look forward to finally playing Resistance 3.
