SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Review

The SOCOM series is most known for it’s multiplayer experience and this edition doesn’t disappoint.  The game features several modes in both cooperative and competitive games as well as several opportunities to have custom games.

I played online several times and I just couldn’t get into it.  I had heard so much about the online modes that I think my expectations were too high.  I personally enjoyed the Co Op missions the most.

The Co Op missions let you and 3 other friends work as a team on 6 different maps as you battle to certain points on the map reviving your friends along the way if needed.  The goal is to work as a squad to eliminate your enemy however many players wind up going rogue on you.

The competitive online modes are Suppression which is a team deathmatch,  Uplink which is a variation of capture the flag,  Bomb Squad which is a search and destroy and finally Last Defense which has you compete for sectors on the map.  You also have the chance to purchase other game modes through Down Loadable Content however I chose to pass on that.
