X Review: “Dark Ninja”

Paint

The figures I seem to like most in this line, are those that have the most minimal paint applied. Molded in the charcoal grey, the base color is adequately covered, allowing for black at the neck, facemask, forearms, and shins. The hands are molded in black, and given a small dab of flesh paint there, as well as in the face. The only other paint is the dragon sigil on the torso in red.

Accessories

No stand, obviously. Let’s just get that out there first. I’m still put off by Hasbro leaving out the stands, but there are places to buy various sorts if you need them. Aside from that, the figure comes with a good assortment of ninja accessories. Even the zip line (that I lost prior to the review,) could have its uses, though I personally don’t care for it.

He also comes with two swords and a sheath, two claw weapons, two arm-blades, a belt, and the glider from Resolute SE, but with a great big cobra symbol on the fabric. Pretty loaded down, but unfortunately there’s no place for all of this to be stored on the figure itself. Also, despite being shown some places with a different or optional head, it doesn’t seem likely he’ll come with one.

  1. I’m really looking forward to this figure. Also, I didn’t realize it is using the entire Renegades SS mold.
