X Review: Snake Eyes

I’ve said before that I’m fond of the subtle paint applications, and this is no exception. Snake Eyes is molded in black with a red arashikage symbol painted on the right upper arm. There are a few apps of black paint to the face, and while black on black seems redundant, it actually gives some more depth to the Snake Eyes mask. That, along with a black/brown paint application to the leather armor on the upper torso and shoulders, is it. There may be some touches here and there but they blend in nicely and add to the look. Sure, there’s some buckles on the chest and a belt that, perhaps, should have some silver for the buckles but that would certainly take away from the stealthy aspect, wouldn’t it?

He comes with everything a growing boy needs! A pair of combat knives, pistol, an SMG that initially came with Retaliation Wave 1 Snake Eyes, backpack, scabbard, and two swords. Oh, right. And a crappy zipline. Need I say more in that regard?

The sculpt of the swords, backpack, and scabbard I find exceptional. I only wish they had included a second scabbard that could peg to his waist somewhere. While he’s been given some great equipment, he can’t store it all. Extra sword, extra knife. I know some people don’t care that there’s no place to store things, that it gives optional loadouts. I say to hell with that! I want to be able to store all their crap on their person up on my shelves!
