The Fighting 1:18th! The best Military 1:18 scale site on the net!
Costumes, costumes, costumes. There were plenty of people dressed up, some with simple creations to more elaborate ones. Some obscure and some highly recognized. Dr. Who was well represented with people dressed as the doctor himself as well as a few Daleks and even a phonebooth. I saw one guy with just a simple piece of carpet pinned to his chest. Someone needed to have that “walking carpet” moved out of our way at times. There were medieval damsels, wrenches and even the Black Knight from Monty Python. Steampunk had it’s place as well with lots of creative costumes.
The 501st Star Wars club never fails to disappoint as they were represented by at least a dozen different characters. There were also 2 different groups of Zombie hunters, one being Zombie Squad. One of my favorites was a Voltron costume. So many people wanted to snap pictures of him, it became a chore to try to get one myself. One notable costume group is The Finest. This is a GI JOE exclusive costume group. They were represented at the con with Lady Jaye, Major Bludd. Snake Eyes and Flash. Their booth contained pictures of other members, some masks they use as well as many GI JOE action figures.
