Overview
Weapon X was originally published in Marvel Comics Presents #72-84, back in 1991. Marvel Comics Presents was an anthology series that typically had four eight-page stories; the lead story was usually an X-man (Wolverine for most of the series run). Some of the stories would be stand-alones, some would be episodic.
Weapon X gives the backstory of Wolverine and how he was made into an adamantium-laced killing machine.
Art
Barry Windsor Smith’s art is lush and highly rendered. The colors in particular really work for the story, giving it an almost surreal look.
