Nick Fury uses the same sculpt as the Avengers movie version, with some altered colors and a new head. The body itself was first used with the Captain America movie Winter Soldier, but they changed out the arms and gave him a coat. Overall, it’s a pretty decent sculpt, and certainly suitable for Nick Fury. There’s a fair bit of defining details in the sculpt, which was what I liked about the first version. They changed the head, however (which because Avengers Assemble is a cartoon, makes sense), but now he kind of looks like Louis Gossett Jr.
The figure’s articulation isn’t horrible, but it isn’t great. With the coat, movement is pretty restricted, and without it, he looks quite out of place with coat sleeves not matching the torso in color or design. And like others in this line, he suffers from a lack of articulation in some areas, and simply crap in others.
Head, shoulders, elbows, torso, bad Marvel ball hips, thigh swivel, double-knees, and ankles. I can take a pass on the hips, but the lack of wrist articulation on some of these figures is getting very bothersome.
