Hiya Toys Q and A

Exclusive Q and A with Hiya Toy continued:

Q7: Seeing how you have modern soldiers and WW2 era series might you have any other war eras down the road?

A: So far we are considering WW2 German(African Regiment) and soviet union soldiers after German(Eastern). As well to expand series topic, WW1 would be a good pilot which becomes more popular these days as British Series – ‘Parade’s End’, ‘Downton Abbey’.

Q8: The lines you offer are male dominated. Would you consider any female figures to add?

A: We will first focus on male figures, but also consider to bring in product to both M and F, like neutral character such as Minion.

Q9: Is there any plans for vehicles or are you sticking to doing figures only?

A: To complete the WWII series, German motorcycle and 88mm artillery are on our radar as additional product aligned to the same topic. May also make Panzer according to market requirement.

Q10: Do you have a potential release date on the upcoming Russian figures?

A: Not yet finalized. Still in discussion on some technical details. We see a major difficulty that RU soldier’s shirts are longer than normal UK/US/DE soldiers. If design in plastic, this will limit the movement of legs(e.g. can not squat). If we do in cotton material as clothing to wear, will directly increase cost and we have never made this before, challenging. Here I would raise an open question to all our audience to gather inspirational ideas on how to solve this problem! 😉

Q11: How many Russian figures are planned? Will it be 6 like the Germans or more?

A: So far we plan to have 6-7 men: 1 officer, 1 infantry with PPS submachine gun, 1 infantry with Mosin-Nagant riffle, 1 sniper, the other 2 still unknown- if machine gunner, the gun will be too big as accessory in the kit. Again, Open Question to our audience on how is the best combination?

Q12: If WWII continue to be a focus, will USA, Japanese, UK and French soldiers be possible?

A: Yes. WWII European and WWII Asian war we will bring into portfolio.

Wow! What great news! More figures could be on the way, the chance for vehicles, weapon packs and they want to hear our feedback! I want to give Hiya Toy and Major Blood a Huge Thank You for doing this Q and A!
