This game is jaw-dropping in motion on the single player survival mode in the beta. Gameplay feels early Halo'ish and I'm loving it. AI is done well.

True and I'm sure that is why AT-STs, turrets, & starfighters have no shields or armor.
It annoys me some guy with a hand held blaster can take down my AT-ST.

True enough, but they all are shooting superheated plasma (other than the cycler rifle), so it's not as nuts as it could be. I'm just enjoying if for what it is, a beautiful giant sandbox full of star wars toys to dick around with.

Star cards suck!
ugh so their plan is to sell credits for real money to people who don't want grind points
at least that is how it looks to be set up for

I'm really looking forward to the new one. It seems after a year or so of bitching and moaning, they finally fixed most of what we wanted with the first one.

Heroes is back, vehicles are back, and lots of space battles, with no "expansion pack" bullcrap. And an offline campaign !!, and it's IMPERIAL !! *Joygasm*

When the first one came out, I was soooo excited, as my gaming Clan is based in SWBF, I bought both versions for my PS4 and my X-Box 1.

And I was never more dissapointed in my life, and dearly wished I could get my $160.00 back. Star cards, no more classes, vehicles reduced to spawn coins, no hero mode, no space battles, no offline campaign, no classes....

https://youtu.be/BA4BZBUz0vE

All we wanted was the SWBF we used to know, but revamped with more added to it. Not even more taken away...

And then to lock the new maps/content behind an expansion pass.... I knew I was done with it. Nope, no space battles, but here's a great "Diorama mode"....

But damn, I gotta admit, it IS pretty. I threw it in again just the other day just for the Hell of it...and I'm still amazed at just how good it looks.

But it seems EA did learn from their mistakes, even if they don't want to openly admit to it. The new one does look fantastic !!!.

Oh, and did I say it's IMPERIAL !!!

The only good thing about the last one other than it being pretty (oh my gawd Endor) is that the play is very casual and you can split screen it with bots. My daughter and I play it on occasion.

Can't wait for the next one simply for the campaign, yet I still have not played thru Titanfall 2's campaign after bitching about that for 3yrs. I absolutely despise online shooters simply because I rarely feel like playing, so I get my ass handed to me every 30secs. My old eyes and reflexes just can't compete with leveled up youngsters. It makes me even sadder since I was a force to be reckoned with on the original Halo and Rainbow Six Vegas. Goddamn I'm old.

Yeah I think I'll get this, this time around. The no campaign last time was a dealbreaker for me.

I think I have it via EA Access now, but can't be bothered.

The Imperial campaign looks really good, and I like that its all canon now.

Nah, we both grew up (as grown up as a 13 year old can be in his case) on Sony PSs. Swapping to a new platform would be... exhausting...

Heh, actually it's Xbox's asymmetrical controller design that I think I'd have the most difficulty adjusting to.

Xbox was.. 2001? I think? Okay so I guess 16 years.

And yeah, if you go from the PS1, that would be like 20 years of using an inferior layout.. oh well, some people are untrainable

I don't know, there's a lot I like about both. The PS4 is just so easy to use.

But for content, the X-Box 1 rules !. I like the fact that if I look at something, it finds related articles and such and places it right there where I can see it. The PS4 is strictly a gaming/movie device, and I'm okay with that.

But the X-Box 1 is certainly more involved, and I'm okay with that too. But I like them both. My gaming Clan is cross platform, so I bought both of them so I can interact and be involved with both sides.

I like both controllers. I don't have any problem switching from one to the other. My only wish is that the PS4 controller lasted longer. I have to charge it every single day, where as the X-Box 1 controller lasts several days.

When my X-Box ran out of room, it was beyond easy to plug in a hard drive....done. Instantly more room. No hassle whatsoever. I haven't updated more room on my PS4, but I need to, it's full.

I certainly got burned on Destiny by buying for both consoles. But I am going to get SWEABF for both consoles.

I've been pro Sony for years. PS1, PS2, PS3.

I just didn't like a lot of what MS was up to. Especially when the 1 first came out. No B/C, always online, had to have the Kinnect, no used/borrowed games, and so on. I was never against the machine or the company, just these kind of policies.

When they removed all of that, I quickly bought one, and I'm happy as Hell with it. I love the fact that it's so involved. But the PS4 is easier to understand. So for those that don't have both, I would really tell y'all to reconsider. They are both fantastic consoles.

Please feel free to add me, I can always have more folks to game with:

I barely have time for any gaming, let alone two consoles worth of gaming.

I guess technically I have two, as I have a switch, but thats mostly for the kids. I couldn't even get into Zelda.

Xbox's offerings tend to speak to me, as a mid-30's person, for whatever reason.

Look me up on Xbox Live! Gamertag: NSA

Yep, gaming is .05% of my console use yet my console is on every second my tv is on. Xbox One is an amazing living room entertainment hub since you can stick a tv tuner in the USB port (allows you to pause live tv for up to 30min) and whatever you like in the HDMI IN port, then have them work seamlessly together and arranges all into one guide. It even powers on and off my tv and sound bar and controls the volume function, so one remote for all (not a game controller). OTA tv, SlingTV, Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, fantasy football and all my games right there in one spot all a glowing X button away.

Last time I touched a PlayStation they still had that stupid cross navigation layout that was annoying, but it's the controller that I can't stand. It's just so skinny.

For those that didn't know, the season pass for EA SWBF is now free for a limited time for both the PS4 and X-Box 1.

NSA I added you, PCSguy88, I'll add you also.

I downloaded the season pass, and I'm still amazed at just how good this game looks. If they'd only added vehicles, space battles, and an offline way to play the maps so you could learn them, I would've adored this damn game as I did the first two.

It's smooth as silk, and the combat system is dead on. I hate the weapon system though. One of the things I loved about the first two was the class system, wether Imperial or Rebel, the loadouts were equal. The first two were just more balanced when it came to gameplay. In a dust up, it was your skill and just plain luck in a firefight.

And being able to just run up to a vehicle spawn point, instead of running around the map to find a coin for a vehicle, and you are only in it for a very limited time.

EA SWBF had soo much potential. If they had only listened to us the first time around. I mean really, how in the Hell can you have a Star Wars game, that doesn't have ANY space battles ??!!!.

I just want to be able to play conquest offline with local co-op as an option. I don't understand why EA's first attempt didn't include that. I hold little hope this new game will do that but hopefully the single-player will be worth while.

Yeah definitely screwed the pooch a bit with the first one. Hopefully the sequel fixes all the issues without creating new ones. From everything I've seen that seems to be the case.

Fingers crossed!
