Vikings Have Had 'Open Dialogue' With Peterson - ABC News

Even if he does get back on at Minnesota, he's gonna play like shit and the Vikings will be at the bottom of the table again.

I mean he'll have fresh legs.. but I imagine it'll be a PR shitstorm wherever he lands, if not back with the Vikings.

He realistically needs to go to a winning team, since winning shuts everyone up.

True, but will a winning team take him on?

I could see a team like the Patriots taking him in, make sure he follows all the draconian Belichick rules.. etc turned a new leaf presser.. etc etc. Leverage the Tom Terrific positive PR to counteract it.. something like that would probably work. They'd minimize AP's press exposure and just show him and working as hard as he can to atone.

At this point, I'm like, "trade the next 5 years worth of 1st round picks for Winston."

If he fails, I can at least hypothesize each failed first round qb that we would have gotten but I didn't have to live through.

They've gotten so much out of low paid RBs, and most RBs don't have any longevity, I don't see them getting a "name" at RB.

The last week has been crazy!!!

And of course the Raiders have tons of Cash and no one wants to take it and play here.. they need to move to LA and get a fancy stadium so people will take our money.

Can't believe some of the trades.. it's like fantasy out there!

And now Tebow is trying out for the bills!!!

The Browns are in the same boat. Our TE verbally agreed to an extension, which every junior high nerd should know, means she's just being nice and passively break your heart when she says yes to Hank Thompson/the Miami Dolphins.

Should be interesting to see how the Bills compete, and Eagles.

It's sad but true. Cleveland, and to a lesser extent Oakland, are radioactive. Only players looking for a payday are going there, but no one that actually wants to win will talk to them. That's not exactly the formula for a winning team chemistry.

There has been talk that Oakland will have to overpay for some players in the next couple of years just to get their spending above the 4-year minimum, or face salary cap penalties for not spending enough.

Cleveland too.

It seems like when I talk to Browns fans online, they're always worried about money and paying to much. We need to pay McCown that much. Not just to get him (uncomfortable shiver) but because we only have rookie contracts and have to hit our cap number.

Yeah, it's amazing that they can't reach the salary MINIMUM.. sheesh.

But the Raiders cut Schaub!! Woohoo! He threw like 8 passes last season and had two INT's. No idea what they were thinking.

Looks like the Raiders beefed up the defense a bit, which is good. If Carr can keep growing then maybe there's hope. If they can win 8 games this season again it will be a big improvement.

Really curious to see what Denver looks like this year, Peypey was really trending down towards the end of last season, but I wonder if it was injury related?

The Niners are all kinds of messed up.. no idea how that team is going to do this year.

Why in the name of all that's holy would a team release McFadden and turn around to sign Richardson? Release a guy who is hurt 50% of the time... for a guy who sucks all the time? A guy who went to the Cutler school of playing like you'd rather be anywhere else....

So they're interested in warm bodies more than talent. Gotcha.

Yeah I saw that and shook my head.

Though the only time TRich was sorta effective his rookie year was at the goal line, and the Raiders don't have a big back for short yardard. And TRich excels at getting 3 yards.

Maybe use him as a compliment to Latavius Murray? I dunno. Maybe getting sent away from 2 teams in 3 years will give him motivation?

Then again the Raiders just need to spend money haha

This was a guy who was a healthy scratch in the playoffs two weeks in a row. At the very least I hope Oakland signed him for league minimum... not because they don't have it to spend, but because you hate to see talentless lazy fat-asses get paid.

Indy doesn't have a respectable running game, and when they think he isn't worth a 53-man roster spot...

Indy got Frank Gore didn't they? And Andre Johnson? With Luke and TY Hilton I think they'll be fine.

I'm not saying he's great or even good, but as a back up RB it could work out. I remember when McFadden was 'good' and they had Michael Bush as the short-yardage "big back" and it seemed to work well for goal line stuff etc.

Oh, I think Indy will be fine, but it won't be because their running game is on fire. I love Gore as a player, respect the hell out of him, but I don't know how much he has left in the tank. But I'm just saying, if a run-challenged team like Indy doesn't have a spot for TRich, how good could he be? Sure, he got cross-ways with management, but that usually gets smoothed over if a player doesn't suck.

You might be right. He might be a good role player with a fresh start. But he couldn't start in Indy. He couldn't be the third down guy in Indy, and when he started riding the pine, he couldn't even do that without getting suspended in Indy. So I have no faith in the guy at all. He's overweight, lazy, and full of excuses. Hear me now, beliebe me la-tah.

Sooooo, Bowe predicts more TD catches. Ring-a-ding-ding. Not exactly Babe Ruth calling that shot, considering that I caught the same number of TDs as Bowe last year.

Haha! Man, those Chiefs were interesting last year.. 0 TD's to a WR? Had that ever been done before?

I almost died when, I think it was the last game, Bowe bobbled the ball in the endzone and Kelce caught it for a TD. So close.

Word is the Cowboys redid Romo's contract to open up money for Peterson... and since DeMarco is gone.. I could see AP having a banner year behind that OL.
