September banner vote

Can someone explain to me what #2 and 3 have to do with the theme. I mean I could've posted a pic of me on laptop and said it was cyber warfare. Its no shocker #3s winning, there's a tank in the background. Do you guys actually vote for the pic that best captures the theme or do you vote for the one that has a vehicle in it or maybe you vote for the person you like the most? Why even have a theme if it doesn't really play into voting. As for quality and staying true to the theme #2 and #3 aren't even in the same ballpark.
2 and 3 are hacking into something. The theme was Figure a way to get to your enemy using the interwebz! This could be either through a main base or mobile. So pic #2 my guess is he is tracking someone with his laptop. Pic #3 He looks to be downloading something that needed to be downloaded in hostile territory and he is about to get caught. #1 is the Data Vipers, capable of any internet damage in any way. I thought they all fit the criteria quite well.
So for me, since I felt they all met the criteria, I went with what I liked most.The choice between 1 and 3 for me was done with a coin flip. I liked seeing Scrap Iron a lot but also liked seeing the Indy Russians being used.

Yeah, 2 and 3 looked like hacking to some degree to me too...I think that's almost the definition of "cyber warfare" isn't it?

"Tank" in the background is a bit much, it's that crappy Indiana Jones weed cutter mobile.. thankfully most of it is hidden. Like Medd and Eddie said, hacking/etc is basically cyber warfare.
Also I really liked the lighting in #3 and how the Russians are coming through the door, looks like a great setup.
So much unfounded favoritism being tossed around these days

Shit, here I though Dial Tone got caught looking at porn near a tank so my favortism towards both had me lean more towards it. Guess I should have read the criteria before casting! Oh, wait.......
They all met what was to be posted. Not sure why there is a question about that. You could just have a figure with a lap top. How it is captured is what will determine votes. If anyone is up on some of the NSA's tools you would know a USB drive is all that is really needed for "cyber warfare".

I would have loved to recreated the Cap 2 scene when Cap busts Widow at the beginning of movie hacking the boats cpu. "this is awkward"

I was never happy with the way that Scrap Iron and his weird assistant were cast in so much shadow. They were in focus but still hard to make out.
I really admire the lighting of the winning banner. The russians pop behind the backlit door, and you feel the sense of dread as Mainframe is framed by this dingy grey light.

Thanks to all the voters, i'm glad you like the shot, that was done about 4 years ago with a compact Canon camera, some smoke, the Indiana Jones Jungle Cutter and some handmade props. I dont like the way Data Frame has the laptop but was supposed to start closing it when the russians were coming.
