SDCC 09 – JSI 1:18 scale F-14! (Part 1)

The upcoming 1:18 scale F-14 by JSI is one of the holy grails for 1:18 scale collectors, and I almost missed seeing it at SDCC 09!

Thanks to some informed members on our Forums, I was told that Merit International, LLC had a booth set up in the downstairs exhibit hall. I had to finish the excellent “Burn Notice” panel with Bruce Campbell, but as soon as it finished I made a bee-line to booth #4929 (I wrote the booth # on my hand so as not to forget it!).

When I got to the booth,  I was greeted with the ENORMOUS F-14 sitting tall and pretty in the front of their small booth.

Pictures cannot accurately describe how large this plane is. It dwarfs all my other 1:18 scale planes, helicopters.. everything. It’s a big BIG bird.

This is the same production model that was show some weeks back in Southern California. According to Merit, this is the only JSI F-14 in North America.
