SDCC 09 – JSI 1:18 Scale F-14! (Part 2)

I had the opportunity today to go back by the Merit International booth at the San Diego Comic Con again today, to take some more detailed photos of the great JSI F-14 they have on display.

By now, everyone knows the pertinent details, it will be roughly $230 and is coming out most likely this October. Everyone is still clamoring for all the details we can get though, so I went back to the Merit booth to see what I could find out.

First thing I asked them to do was show me that the wings actually moved! So far, as far as I know, no one has taken pictures of the JSI F-14 with the wings extended. There has been speculation that the wings were broken or the mechanism was not working right or.. whatever.

So to end the speculation, the wings work wonderfully, and they look fantastic extended. Personally I think I prefer the F-14 like this!

Of course this will extend the shelf space required to house this bad bird, but I am sure we’ve all prepared long and hard to display the F-14, and the size factored in heavily in our decisions whether or not to get the plane.

So far, this plane does not look to disappoint!
