21st Century really hit it out of the park on this piece. If every release was as good as this tank, even baring the inclusion of interior details, the company might still be in business today. Despite a few very minor hiccups, the combination of trademark 21st Century Toys detail, abnormal durability for a 21st Product, and the simple oddity of this tank combine to make this the standout piece of my collection. Not bad for the plucky little tank that history forgot.
With that, I’m proud to give the 21st Century Toys M41 Walker Bulldog Light Tank the first of The Fighting 1:18th’s covetous Editors’ Choice Awards (To be “designed”).
The M41 reviewed in this article is a series 2 release painted as a “winterized” version of the olive drab color scheme seen in the original release. The first version was released as part of the Republic of Vietnam Army and came with an ARVN figure.
JS International is set to release another version of this tank in the original olive drab color scheme. Although they showed an improved version at their trade show, the release version shown on their website unfortunately looks to be identical to the one reviewed within this article. Watch The Fighting 1:18th for more information as it becomes available.
Meant to say The version now in Olive drab goes for 3 digits in MIP there is also one in winter paint scheme perfect for a Korean War dio.Great for Vietnam dio too. A must have for the collector!! Great review!!!
There is also a version in olive drab with the American White Star that I’ve seen on ebay the goes for the 3 digit range MIP. A very rare version of the Bulldog.
