Classy

One thing I really appreciate about this game is the fact that it is class-based. There are four classes to choose from, with each getting certain weapons and perks that the others dont.

First is the Assault class, which gets the ability to use assault rifles (shock!) and pass out ammo replenishment boxes. This is a pretty straightforward class, deals good damage and helps keep snipers and engineers in the game by providing ammo to their heavy weapons.

Second is the Engineer class, which gets HEAVY weapons (RPG’s, AT-4’s, Mines!) and the ability to repair friendly vehicles with his handy-dandy multi-tool. This is a really good support class, as friendly vehicles generally wither under the heavy weapons of the enemy. The fact that the Engineer gets a sub-machingun, a rocket launder AND a pistol make him a dangerous foe indeed.

Third is the Medic, which, surprise surprise, gets health packs! That is not all though, the medic also gets defibrillators, which in this awesome universe means that he can bring back people from the dead, even if they got hit by a 120mm shell! The medic has between 5-10 seconds to get to your cooling corpse, and he can revive you and have you back in action in no time. To defend himself, the Medic sports the light Machineguns (M60’s, SAW, etc). In the end the Medic is really a dealer and healer of death!

Lastly, the “Recon” class.. or Sniper class, which looks like a walking Wookie, is gifted ‘senor balls’ which show enemy positions on the map, and the pretty awesome mortar strike, which calls in a barrage of death on a remote location. As expected, the Recon class gets their pick of various sniper rifles, from the M24 to the VSS to the M95.

Each class gets a total of 7 different weapons to choose from for their respective class, with another 8 weapons available for any class. The Any Class weapons consist of shotguns and various rifles.
