Mass Effect 2 Review

One of the best parts of this amazing game is the level of detail that was put into it.  The hours of dialogue,  voice acting,  various characters and missions.  Even when your ready to take a break from the RPG aspects,  you have a whole another game inside the game as you search for resources.  You will need these resources to upgrade your Spaceship (the Normandy) and weapons and armor.  As you travel from planet to planet,  you will use probes to search for anomalies, materials, and artifacts as well. It’s a nice distraction from the combat, and a cool addition to the game.

I can’t say enough good things about this game.  I’m on my 3rd play through with over 100 hours logged and I’m still discovering new options.  Obviously you don’t need to go to that extreme to enjoy this game.  You can get a full experience in 1 play through if you choose.  I reviewed this game exclusively on the PS3 and it was the GOTY edition which comes with 8+ hours of bonus DLC.  ME2 is also available for XBOX360 and PC.  Make sure to save your game file as you can transport it into the upcoming Mass Effect 3 which is available this March and most retailers are taking pre orders.  The choices you made in ME1 and 2 will effect what happens in the final game of the trilogy.

Overall I give this game a 10/10.
