Mass Effect 3 Review

The game starts with a bang!  So much happens in the first few hours and it really gives you an idea of what your going to be doing for the next 40 hours.  The Reapers have finally arrived and they are intending to destroy all of organic life in the galaxy.  They start by attacking major cities where they can do the most damage.  You begin in Vancouver with a familiar face,  David Anderson.  He reinstates your Alliance Commission and orders you to escape the battle for earth to seek help with the Council.  Anderson remains on earth to lead the Human resistance.

As you escape in the Normandy your contacted by Admiral Hackett and he orders you to investigate a research facility on Mars that is studying Prothean Artifacts.  Once Shepard reaches the council and asks for aid,  he finds out that other nations are also under attack and are reluctant to help.  They inform Shepard that if the Reaper pressure was to be relieved on them,  they would be able to assist.  Thus the main plot begins.  You go on various missions throughout the galaxy.  Your main mission is to gain the assistance from all the nations like the Krogans,  Asari’s,  Geth  and Turian etc.  This won’t be easy.  Your put with the task to end feuds and wars between several races all for the good of the galaxy.

As you complete various quests accomplishing your mission,  you will receive updates from Admiral Hackett and Anderson.  You will also run into several familiar faces along the way.  You will bump into many characters from ME1 and ME2 depending on if they survived the previous games.  As you run into your old friends you have a chance to assist them with their missions and get the chance to recruit several of them along with your journey.  Your actual crew is much smaller then the previous game however many of your old comrades assist you in behind the scenes support and missions.  You also have some new additions to your crew including soldier James Vega and reporter Diana Allers.
