Transformers: War for Cybertron Review

The game takes place on the planet known as Cybertron before the G1 era.  Hasbro has given the game it’s blessing and has described the story as official canon.  During the game,  the Autobots and Decepticons are engaged in a Civil War.

High Moon did a fantastic job developing the game mechanics.  The controls are flawless,  especially when your using your Transformer in vehicle mode. The highlight of the control scheme is the perfect transformation mechanic.  You can transform back and forth quickly at any time.  These transformations not only help you during battle,  but they assist with reaching hard to get locations and collectibles.

The rest of the controls work out great.  This is an Activision game and if you’ve ever played a Call of Duty game,  you will instantly feel at home.  Every action is perfectly placed on the controller.  The trigger is in the right spot,  the jump button is where it should be as well as all the other actions.
