Transformers: War for Cybertron Review

The main online mode contains 8 maps on the disc with several new maps that can be added through DLC.  All the maps are set in Cybertron and feature up to 10 players.  I never really got tired of the maps and enjoyed all of them.

You have 6 multiplayer modes to choose from during the main competitive online mode.  You have your basic Deathmatch which is a free for all kill fest.  Team Deathmatch pit’s the Decepticons vs. Autobots and whichever team gets the most kills is the winner.  Countdown to Extinction is a mode where you have to snatch a bomb and plant it in a limited time.  Power Struggle is a mode that is vary comparable to your basic King of the Hill game.

My two favorite modes are Code of Power and Conquest.  Code of Power has you vying for a giant melee weapon in short 2 minute rounds.   Conquest is a capture and hold style game mode.  In Conquest you have to obtain and protect nodes.  I spent 90% of my online time in Conquest.  It was the most exciting and challenging game mode in my opinion.  By the time I was done playing the game in the late summer of 2010,  I was ranked 6th in the World in Conquest!
