Resistance: Fall of Man Review

To this day,  Nathan Hale is still one of my favorite video game characters of all time.  The end of the game gave me a satisfying feeling however they leave it open for more stories.  I’ve heard some complaints over the end but I really enjoyed it.

The game doesn’t have Trophy support as it came out before Trophies were created.  The game was also re-released in a 2 pack with Resistance 2 and still didn’t get the Trophy treatment which upset fans including myself.

The single player campaign does provide some replay value even without trophies.  Several Intel documents are scattered throughout the game that will inform you on past and present events.  You can also earn skill points for each mission that will unlock extra additional media within the game.

Fall of Man features outstanding graphics for it’s time. In 2006 it was one of the best looking FPS around and it still holds up today.  The best part about the visuals is the frame rate.  You will never experience any lag whether your playing alone or online.

Resistance features a very natural control scheme.  It only takes a few minutes to adjust to the default controls and you also get to use the SIXAXIS controls. You want to view the in game map?  Tilt your controller to the left.  You don’t have to touch a button and you can still focus your attention on your enemy.
