Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Review

One of the biggest selling points of this game series from Activision is the replay value.  You have weapons to upgrade,  blueprints and audio files to collect, and of course trophies/achievements to obtain.

With that being said,  nothing compares to it’s deep and rewarding online modes.  The most popular is the competitive online modes which come in 4 options. You can play Conquest,  Capture the Flag,  Team Deathmatch and Head Hunter.

Even though Fall of Cybertron features less modes than it’s predecessor,  it felt more rewarding with a excellent map selection.  I dabbled in all the game modes with Conquest being the clear cut winner for me.  Conquest had the most people playing it,  had the most action and allowed you to level up the quickest.

Head Hunter is a brand new mode that has you collecting the heads of dead players and than giving you the opportunity to drop them in a constantly relocating node for points.  This mode is a welcome addition and was enjoyable in short doses.

Just like WFC,  you have 4 classes to choose from.  A scientist is a flier with low health and the ability to heal. My favorite class is Titan formally known as Soldier. Titan’s give you powerful weapons and abilities and the most health.

You can also play as a Infiltrator formally known as a Scout and a Destroyer which used to be known as a Leader.  Infiltrators give you a speed advantage as well as cloaking abilities while Destroyers give you a very balanced transformer with decent armor and weapons.
