Sculpt

The sculpt is one of the places this figure seriously shines. The face itself is far more reminiscent of Mr. Johnson than the Wave 1 version, and this guy is stockier and beefier than his earlier wave counterpart. The arms are all bulged and veined and look like a bodybuilder’s arms. The shirt has folds and creases much like the pants. The gloves even have some finer details; If you look close enough, you can see some subtle “stitching” on the back of each hand. The only downer is those stupidly large holsters for the gimmick, which is just a sad waste. I’m happy to see that the “Ultimate” version of Roadblock coming in Wave 3 will have retooled holsters that are of an acceptable size.

The vest’s sculpt is on par with the rest of this figure, too. It shares all the finer detail work that the figure itself does, and perhaps more. The sheathes have rivets holding them to the leather, the armored plates are riveted on as well. There’s buckles and straps, and all sorts of details that make this piece shine, deserving it’s place on this figure. But the inexplicable white paint. What the hell is that for, anyway?

  1. Can’t wait to rip those stupid sheaths off his vest and add some mag pouchs, same goes for the sidearm holsters. Off with those and on with a Desert Eagle set up. Looks solid and thanks for the review PCS. Anyone try putting other head sculpts on the figure to see if he can have a suitable cohesive looking teamate?
