X Review: Zartan

The paintjob is not bad, honestly. He’s molded in grays and blacks primarily, with that gaunt, sickly grayish-flesh for the Zartan head. Paint applications are sparse, a dab of brownish-red here, some black there. Not much more than that. It helps give the bodysuit dimension while not breaking up the appearance that it’s a single, continuous piece of “fabric”. There’s dabs of paint on the Storm Shadow and generic trooper heads, but nothing outstanding, and there’s not a drop of paint for any of the accessories.

This is another one that comes with a whole host of accessories, but unlike most figures that have come that way, Zartan can actually store most of it. He comes with a crossbow and quarrel, a pistol, two swords and a sheath, three disguise heads, and his webgear-and-hood. The quarrel pegs in underneath the crossbow, the pistol can fit into a slot on the back of the webgear, the swords store in the sheath which pegs onto his back. So minus the heads, he can hold everything. I’d consider that a plus in my book. Sure, they botched articulation again, but at least he can hold everything!
