X Review: Storm Shadow

review-sculpt01

If you want me to compare the Wave 2 versions to this one, I’ll tell you that this one has them beat by a long shot. It’s got a far more interesting sculpt, for starters. No reusing parts from ROC here. It’s straight up new, with all kinds of nifty armor plates with peeks of fabric beneath to allow him the movement he needs. There is of course a single pack version which I will likely not review since there’s no difference. There’s minor color variances with the Ninja Showdown version, and we’ll see that later.

review-articulation01

What’s nicer is, while the Wave 2 versions are lacking in some articulation, this one is given everything. Head, shoulders, elbows, swivel-and-bend wrists, torso, hips, double-knees, and rocker ankles. So, as you can imagine, Storm Shadow can bend and move with the best of them, getting into all sorts of poses. And rightfully, he should. No coat or skirt to get in his way, no normal ankles to prevent excellent movement. Just all around ninja articulated goodness.

If you like that sort of thing.
