The Invincible Iron Man, v.1: The Five Nightmares should be available at your local comic book shop, Amazon.com, or other booksellers.

Accessibility

There’s a fair amount of explicit violence (terrorists blowing themselves up, Ezekiel Stane blasting people into skeletons) and some hinted-at sex. Not something for young kids.

We’re given most of the previous Iron Man knowledge we need (who is Obadiah Stane and why does Tony care) in context, although if you haven’t read the books you might be surprised to find out that Tony’s identity as Iron Man is public knowledge and that he’s director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Verdict

Okay enough, but later volumes of Invincible Iron Man do it better (and frankly, the plot device lifted from Armor Wars was done better there).
