End of Days Dio-story by Keenan

The first thing a reader will notice when starting to read this comic is that when Keenan first started this project he was using o-ring figures. This has been an epic journey spanning a good amount of time. Just like all story tellers breaks were taken to keep the story from getting stale and to reinvigorate the artist.

Keenan brings with this comic not only great story telling which I will touch on later, but great and creative customs to go with it. It’s not like we had/ have a 118th zombie action figure line so from the get go most of the characters had to be customs.

As you read the story you will not only notice the evolution of the characters and the plot but you will see Keenan’s evolution as an artist. His zombies go from good early on, to top notch prime choice in his latest works.

Episode 1 starts off with the Apocalypse already happening. With a written narration along with pictures to begin. “The zombie outbreak had all but doomed humanity. Government Scientists, in secret locations, work at fever pitches to reverse the effects and find a cure. Meanwhile the united leaders of the world agreed to level major Cities (which had been abandoned), using non-nuclear weapons, hoping this would get the virus under control. But it did not. The result was destruction and major power outages. The battle between the G.I. Joe team and Cobra continues.” The plot continues from there with various twists inside both organizations. Keenan’s writing is a very strong point to his comic and a very big draw for me.
