X Review: SDCC Bludgeon

review-paint01

Bludgeon is cast primarily in black for the body, with yellow, black, and red rounding out the rest of the accessories, leaving paint applications of purple and yellow primarily, with some drybrushing applied to the armor, silver on the swords, and a pair of Decepticon symbols on the coat. The painted and drybrushed details aren’t overwhelming, but definitely help bring out the layers of detail in the sculpt. On mine, some paint has rubbed off one of the swords, but it’s no big deal.

Bludgeon doesn’t come with much as far as accessories, but what he comes with is just plenty. There’s the torso armor, pair of swords, helmet, and the coat/cloak. I find that this is the perfect complement to the figure, after all, what else does he really need? And with a little careful finagling, you can get both blades to slide into the loop on the ‘belt’ of the armor.
