Comics: Enemy of the State

Availability

Wolverine: Enemy of the State should be available at your local comic book shop, Amazon.com, or other booksellers.

Accessibility

Lots of comic book violence, not particularly gory. An enormous amount of deaths (thousands of people are killed directly by Wolverine, according to the dialogue); a few sexual references.

To really know what’s going on you do need to be at least somewhat familiar with the Marvel Universe.

Verdict

It’s another “Wolverine has to fight his friends” story, and not particularly well told. Unless you like that type of story (and there are no real lasting ramifications here, that I can tell) you can give this one a pass.

The last issue would probably be far more compelling if it wasn’t paired with the rest of the book.
