X Review: Retaliation Crimson Guard

Considering the figure is primarily red, the paint job is okay. Buttons, medals, and cobra symbols(chest and right upper arm) all get silver paint, there’s some black on the nonexistent belt, and some minor weathering on the lower legs. The head is cast in red with a black painted faceplate and silver on the forehead, and the vest has a silver cobra symbol and some dark gray detailing on the front and back.

Considering the canvas they had, they did a pretty good job. I doubt it could be a whole lot better than it is on that figure, so I appreciate what they managed to do.

The Crimson Guard comes with a decent amount of accessories. It’s fairly middle-ground compared to some of the other case mates. A couple rifles, a submachine gun, pistol, knife, sword, vest, backpack, sticker sheet, and stand. The vest and sword are new, and the former has a sheath for the blade. Both the pistol and the knife can store in their respective places on the figure’s legs.

The sticker sheet is something altogether new. For figures. We see them all the time for vehicles, but the Siegie comes with stickers to apply to chest and arm for rank and division. A neat idea, but I find that the execution is a bit lacking. I know they did stickers to make it easy for kids to change their minds if they wanted to, but decals would have looked a lot cleaner when applied.
