X Review: Retaliation Kwinn

It’s a great sculpt. I’ll get that out of the way right now. The details are phenomenal, down to the laces on his boots. The shirt looks like it’s almost real fabric, even to the rolled up sleeves. And the shorts? Come on, fantastic! Is there any figure in GI Joe that has sculpted shorts? If so, do they look this good? The figure shares forearms with club Footloose(and/or Retaliation Mouse, take your pick), but they don’t look out of place on Kwinn at all.

My favorite part of this figure, by far, has to be the head sculpt. He looks older, grizzled, and damned if he doesn’t look like an Eskimo!

The articulation is what I would consider normal for the current line, and that’s really all this guy needs. He moves freely, holds his poses, and does a good job looking down the sight of his rifle. That’s all I could really ask for.

Head, shoulders, elbows, swivel-and-bend wrists, torso, hips, double-knees, and basic ankles. I think that’s perfect, and besides, this guy isn’t going to(and shouldn’t) be doing any ninjatastic super-jumping spinny-split-kicks. So what he has is more than adequate.
