Season 3

We meet Michonne in this season and find out she helped Andrea to survive. We also meet the town of Woodbury led by The Governor. Needless to say, Rick’s group, and the Governors group do not get along. Merle returns as the Governor’s right hand man, or is he?

We get a bunch of tit for tat episodes between the Governor’s group and Rick’s. The Governor tries to paint his town as peaceful and tranquil but we know better. He is a psycho and an excellent character added to the series.

Lori’s child is also born in this season, but Lori does not survive her birth. Rick goes a little bit crazy for a good many episodes. Still not entirely sure if he has his head back on clearly. He starts seeing her around the prison, hearing things, basically being haunted.

The final showdown between Rick’s group and the Governor’s group happens in the finale. A whole lot of death but neither side truly wins. Which hopefully leads to yet another showdown between Rick and the Governor, or Michonne and the Governor in next season.

This is my favorite season to date. Lots of Walkers, lots of death, and lots of forward moving story line compared to Season 2.
