KT Review: Robocop 3.0

review-sculpt01

The sculpt is pretty accurate to it’s film counterpart. Lots of plates, ridges and the like. Unfortunately, the sculpt is pretty soft and not nearly as crisp as I would have liked. This is especially apparent on his hands and exposed portion of face. Jada is pretty new to the world of action figures, so perhaps there’s a learning curve to it when you’re used to diecast cars.

I am impressed with the OCP logo on his chest, though.

review-articulation01

Oh, boy. Head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. The head has average movement of a ball joint, but his elbows and knees will do about 45 degrees. At best. The hips are odd, but he can sit, and walk, but the design of the armor is a bit of a hindrance. I’d say his lack of wrists are a bad thing, but he doesn’t have enough range of motion in his other joints to make them a necessity. If you like you Robocop Peter Weller- style none of this is an issue, but as far as I’ve seen this one moves around pretty damn well, so the articulation is a let down, personally.
