KT Review: CA:TWS Red Skull

For the most part, Red Skull’s sculpt is unremarkable. Sure, there are lots of wrinkles, buttons and straps, but they aren’t particularly crisp. The head sculpt is, though, and it captures Hugo Weaving’s prosthetic-encased sneer quite well. Kudos there, at least.

Ugh. This figure doesn’t move worth a damn. I mean, it has all the standard joints, but the hips are severely hindered by his coat, and in the case of his left hip, there’s virtually no movement at all. It’s pretty much useless, and when paired with the limited range of motion on his elbows you can expect no action out of this action figure. What the flugzeugwerk, Hasbro? Like every other figure in this line, the lack of wrist articulation hurts, though it matters little when his left hand is eternally clutching dramatically. If only there were a cosmic cube to take up the space…
