Before we begin, I’d like to thank forum Officer and staff writer Meddatron for covering for me last month during my prolonged hiatus, as well as for holding the fort and being generally awesome.
The man wears a lot of hats around here, so let’s give him a well-deserved round of applause!
Back on track now – the Photo of the Month selection process should be familiar by now: the Staff looks through all the 1/18 photos posted in the Official Figure Pic One-Shot Thread for that month and we choose our favorite.
It’s not a contest, and there are no “winners” or “losers”, rather it’s a celebration of the fun and creativity our great hobby unleashes within us.
Last month had fewer photos posted than usual, but there still was no shortage of awesome ones. Check out the runners-up below:
Pretty sweet, no?
Anyway, without further ado, we present the Fighting 1:18th Photo of the Month for October 2014:
With its decidedly low-tech, old-school approach to FX, combined with lifelike, action-filled posing, this shot is the very definition of “simple but effective.”
Head over to the Official Figure Pic One-Shot Thread for more inspiring photos, and do feel free to share your own work. We’re always on the lookout for the next Photo of the Month!
