    PTE A-10 repaint

If I remember correctly I just used 1/32 or 1/48 A-10 decals from Two Bobs and scaled them up to ~1/22 or 1/20 (I basically just eyeballed it). I then used the paint guide to make a stencil for the fake canopy on the bottom Hope this helps. Phil

    My Pavehawk

It's hanging up and didn't want to pull it down so these aren't the best interior shots balancing on a chair with a camera. I put extinguishers on each side behind pilot and co-pilot: Made a custom litter shown here with a couple extra Rappel/Fast Ropes curled up on top: installed...

    My M113

Here's TheHun's website (he goes by woofer too on ebay sometimes). His Vietnam ear M113 put the bug in my ear to do my Desert Storm version. If you haven't seen his custom it is well worth the look. http://www.thewoofercustoms.com/customusarmor/usmcm113vietnam.html

    My Pavehawk

pcsguy88, It's funny you asked this and I went over to SSHQ to search for my answer to this as I remember it being asked before - lo and behold it was you who asked it last time: Here's the link and my answer is the last post in this thread - good luck and post some pics when you're done...

    My Pavehawk

Here's where I got that from: They are just a dab of grey paint off the end of a toothpick, but really do look like rivets.

    My M113

This was one of the early 21st Century Ultimate Soldier XD M113s it was the Diecast version (the entire hull/outer frame is metal, but the interior is plastic). The stowage pieces are all plastic and look very tacky in person. When pulling them off, it left about 15-20 holes in the metal hull...

    PTE A-10 repaint

Yes, they should be Light Ghost Grey - good catch. I wasn't paying the closest attention to detail, just trying to make it look realistic. My son wanted it to look "real" like his other 1/18 models so I did my best at a repaint - it was my first. I did a PTE F22 a few months after, it turned...

    PTE A-10 repaint

Continuing with another repaint I did several years ago that got lost, here's my PTE A-10. This was the first repaint of a 1/18 (well not quite) model. Here's how the ugly beast came: Here's my inspiration: And my repaint:

    My Pavehawk

I did use the Home Depot paint match and dabbed with a make-up pad instead of airbrushing. I still want to do some more weathering especially on the front end but waiting to do some more detailing (hydraulic lines, crab-eye sensors, antennae, etc..).

    My M113

Again, this was on here somewhere several months ago but think it disappeared whent he site went crazy. This is a Desert Storm version inspired by "The Hun's" beautiful Vietnam M113 custom he had on here a long while back. I took many cues from his interior work in particular. Here's what it...

    My Pavehawk

I had this custom in here a year or so ago but think it got deleted a while back along with my username when the site went crazy. Here's another go at it. I was one of the original buyers for Pickelhaube's kit over at SSHQ and still bugging him to do a DAP accessories kit (even sent him a...
