I picked up my Knight Rider KITT and Michael Knight from Entertainment Earth. I was asked to post some pics so here are the pics and a short review of the car and figure.

I'll start with KITT since the car is the big reason I bought this. The box states that KITT is 1/15th scale but it looks good with Joes standing next to it and sitting in it. First the mold is solid, very few pieces, everything molded in 3 or 4 sections. The plastic is sturdy and the doors open with no porblem and stay shut with no problem. The interior is very details with the dash board and the other monitors respresented. By pressing on the gas door cap the lights and sounds features are activated. The dashbooard lights up and when KITT is talking the vocal bar lights up just like in the T.V. series. There are numerous sounds and several bits of real dialogue from the show with the original KITT voice. The wheels turn with no rubbing and it rolls freely. In my opinion one of the best 1:18th/1:15th scale??? vehicles made that isnt like the expensive Hot Wheels exclusives.

not going to spend much time on the Hoff. His articulation is crap and the figure is just very underwhelming. I used Joe Colton for comparison size pics. I think my A-Team Face figure will be driving KITT. The larger size of the A-Team and Joe figures make the driver look better in KITT.

now back to KITT. Here are some pics with the A-Team van. I am going to display KITT with the van when my boys arent playing with them. Seeing the 2 vehicles takes me right back to the cool NBC shows in the 80's. Now more than ever I would have loved a cross over episode or 2. One feature I love that is a small one is the rear license plate. It flips and you have the choice of decals. They give a KNIGHT, KITT and one with letters and numerals. I chose the Knight and KITT decals. If I picked this up for the Michael Knight figure I would be pissed but I got this for the KITT and KITT alone. If anyone is on the fence about this I can say that you wont regret picking this up for the car and all the features lights, sounds, etc... Not sure what you will want to do with Hoff but aside from the figure I would give KITT 9.5 stars out of 10. the only half point deduction was the cheap screw they used to hold in the battery cover. I am tempted now to buy a second one and make a license plate for KARR.

1:18 Michael in 1:15 KITT is sehr obvious.

I think they didnt do their homework on scales. He is much shorter than Joe and A-Team figures. Joes sitting in KITT look way better sizewise. I am wondering if KITT is truly 1:15th, I sat it next to a 1:18th model of a Crown Vic police cruiser and they match up.

I've got a 1:15th BTTF Delorean that looks just silly next to 1:18th cars...and while KITT here looks larger than 1:18th next to the van, it's certainly not 1:15th larger

thats what I thought. I wasnt sure of the A-Team Van was true 1:18th. I used the 1:18th cruiser to see what KITTs size was close to, KITT was slightly larger than the vic it was pretty close. I have a 1:15th police cruiser to and now I am going to have to see how big the difference is. BTW how does the Delorean look with Joes? I love that car as well.

How much was this?

$59.99. I feel its a tad high but in reality I got this as much for me as I did for my boys. They love the old t.v. series and when I showed them the pre-order they went wild. The features kinda balance out the price, the light effects are awesome and there is alot of dialogue. It even does the introductory line when you turn it off then turn it back on. It runs thru the entire series before repeating. If you just set it to demo it does the interior lighting, the hood light goes back and forth and the sound of the hood light. It does the turbo boost sound effect, KITT has alot of lines and they didnt cheap out on the exterior lights, fog lights, tail lights, etc.....

thanks. I will search around the web looking for one. I was at Wal-Mart yesterday and saw some great 1:18th scale cars, a couple of modern camaros and a couple other models. I mainly collected 1:18th police cruisers but now I have gotten hooked on civilian car designs as well.

Hi guys... New here. Being a big fan of Knight Rider, I was looking forward on both this one from Diamond Select Toys as well as the 1/18 Hot Wheels Elite KITT...

I just got my hands on the 1/15 KITT car with the out of scale Michael Knight figure...haha.. Still cool though!

Such a cool toy which really reminded me of the classic KITT toy that I have from Kenner...>>>

The DST Michael Knight figure is however perhaps closer to scale with the Hot Wheels Elite 1/18 diecast KITT..

I was wondering about the scale...doesn't look too bad sitting next to the A-Team van...might have to pick one up and make a custom Knight figure...maybe Gig can give us a Hoff head...

You like sh!t-on-me porn too?! :D

well I didnt have hot carls or Clevelad steamers on my mind when I posted, I was referring to the whole "gotta get some funky butt love" from the wife german vibe.....(awkward moment, when I tell myself I know what the above mentioned activities are)....

I heart me some vintage German porn. I don't get Germany & Japan and their proclivity for scat, though.

Maybe there was more to that alliance that war.....

If Hot Toys did it it might actually look like the Hoff and not some random dude.

I've grown to actually like the Michael Knight figure it comes with. It might not look like him, but I sure had fun taking photos of the car with the figure....

I think the likeness might be better if the head was stripped and repainted.
