Basic Figure Dissassembly – GI Joe Modern Era

Be sure to check out G.I.*Eddies tutorial on figure disassembly for the modern-era G.I. Joes!

Some of it seems obvious, but I know I was surprised to find out how some of the parts came apart!!

Thank's Eddie!

Thanks, I have yet to take apart a non o-ring G.I. Joe Figure. I can't wait until my SDS heads get here from when I ordered 2 months ago.

Hmm... I shall have to go find out for myself on the interweb amongst all the hot women & their amazing smiles. This will be a long process.

I get too damn impatient some times, so when I need to remove lower arms, feet - I make a cut into the limb to remove it. Later, I just glue the little cut back together.

Sometimes you just don't want to get up from the table, you know?

You don't have a blow dryer at your table?!...it's like a necessary customizing tool for me...I snapped way too many pegs in the past being lazy...I took my wife's spare to use permanently...that think and the Dremel are just an arms length reach away...

The same way you would pop a torso...at least, that's how I go about it...

^ dead link, btw.

Anyone had any success with the vise method of popping Retaliation-forward torsos? I mashed the shit out of a Rockblock torso, and finally said to hell with salvaging it, since I just needed the arms… But that rubbery-ass torso was simply destroyed using the vise.

I've not heard of a successful one. Probably need to cut the seam on them now.

I took apart a couple of ultimate Dukes using the adjustable wrench method. Worked fine.

I used a pair of large Robogrips on an Ultimate Duke and opened it right up.
