As Kellyanne said, Nancy looked like she was going though the Cheesecake Factory menu during the whole speech.

I thought it was a good speech, focused on the positive, about the most presidential Trump has seemed in a while.

However, I could have done with about 80% less schmaltzy guest stories. "You get a school voucher! You get a medal! You get a promotion! You get your dad back from the sandbox!" I felt like Oprah had taken over. They were all good stories, all great talking points about things he was working on and campaining for, but it's a bit ham-fisted all throughout the SOTU address. One or two would have been plenty, but it felt like a parade of targeted demographic panders at times.

Still, when you compare and contrast to that high-school production the dems trotted out afterward as a rebuttal, the differences were comical. Trump is going to trounce whatever socialist the dems prop up. Like their app, they are not ready for prime time.

God, we watched about 7 minutes of that small-town, small-mind Michigan lady and.. whew.. wtf. I guess they didn't know what he was going to talk about, so they didn't write rebuttals.. instead just tried to toot their own horns? Was pretty lame if I'm being honest, and I was trying to keep an open mind.

Yeah, I really wanted to see what their rebuttal sounded like to see if they could form any kind of rational thoughts outside of socialist "free everything" promises... and it was nothing more than a 20-minute list of upper-midwest democrats no one had heard of who were presiding over road repaving projects (3/4 of which probably used federal funding). WTF.

It was in her kid's high school auditorium, and I started to wonder if her kid wrote the speech. I felt like I stumbled into "career day". It was the most mickey-mouse excuse of a national oration I've ever seen. I was almost embarrassed for them. Almost.

Trump smells blood (with his approval ratings highest ever) and used the SOTU to “take the high road” with positive posturing that might give some of the previous anti’s a slight case of the Oprah feels right after he reminded them how much better off they are after 3 years of him over 8 years of Obama. I think it was just more than crazy Nancy could take. She was probably really hoping for a full twitteresque rant to keep the attention on her “victory“ in getting all but three dem reps to vote for impeachment. She came off as petty and out of control to anyone with a functioning set of standards.

The only person looking worse right now is uber-douche Romney. I still can’t believe the GOP could only manage to put him and a-hole McCain as the “conservative“ options before Trump came along. Ol’ Mitt couldn’t be more a sore loser, could he? I hope Utah recalls his pathetic carcass.

Yeah, he seems like a really bitter old pill. I know he hates Trump, but it almost feels like he's trying to poke the whole party in the eye, as if he blames them for his poor showing against obama.

I thought Nancy was going to pop a vein. Her smug tantrum just showed what a vindictive little weasel she is. Her passive-aggressive actions illustrate how completely bereft of class, dignity, and leadership that party is. Trump's lack of decorum is frequently not to my liking, but Nancy's utter lack of respect for the office, regardless of her personal vendetta against the man, shows a level of incivility I'm not comfortable with for one of our highest officials. I didn't like obama, but I wouldn't have condoned any member of the GOP, especially the Speaker, openly showing the president that level of contempt during the SOTU. Respect the office, bitch.

The numbers sound impressive, but I doubt anyone will notice unless you're a soybean farmer and you expect sales to skyrocket when the tariffs go from 30% all the way down to 27.5%...

Then again, I like any headline that pokes the naysayers in the eye. They would just sit back and watch other countries take advantage of us, while simultaneously condemning capitalism and consumerism.

Bloomberg thinks he can ignore the normal system and buy his way to the nomination. I guess we'll see if the donkeys allow him to or not. I think it will come down to just how much money he is willing to pay them for the nomination, and whether Bernie's supporters get in line or burn down the convention when they get screwed over yet again.

They already changed the rules once so he can get on the debate stage.. he wasn't allowed before.

I don't think the BernieBros would put up with him.. but they did kowtow to Hill-dawg, so who knows. They don't have a lot of party unity at the moment.

I kind of wish Trump wasn't as batty as he is, as it'd be the perfect opportunity to get the middle of the road Democrats to switch over. A LOT of people (left & right) think the far left is batshit insane.

Everyone knows the left can't meme! Meme's are funny, and the libs left "humorless" behind a long time ago.

Bloomberg just strikes me as a guy who has no clue. He has no platform, no voter base, no personality. All he has is money and a DNC establishment that's scared shitless of bernie, not of what he'd try to do as president, but specifically what a disaster he would be down the ticket. Conservatives would gain record numbers of seats on capitol hill with Bernie cranking the socialism to eleven. So the DNC props up this wealthy cardboard cutout and prays. Great plan.

All I remember about bloomberg's stint as mayor is his war on sodas. If that's the level of control he wants to exert on citizens, that's enough for me to write him off.

Well, I'm not completely sure the policy was all that bad. He's not wrong that the high crime areas needed more attention from LE. And he's not wrong that most of the criminals fit the profile he described. Those are just facts/stats. It's the optics of his audio where he oozes utter disdain for those citizens that's the real problem.

There's a thoughtful way to enact a policy of trying to curb crime by stopping suspicious characters without completely disregarding law-abiding citizens rights, and he clearly had no clue then. The fact that he's apologizing is more evidence that he doesn't get it now. Rather than saying the policy was bad, he should emphasize that it should have been implemented differently. He's such an out-of-touch tool, only backtracking weeks before launching a campaign.

But the bigger issue with him is his belief that we all need to be micromanaged. I cannot abide by that shit. I quit a six-figure job fifteen years ago because I hated being told what to do, and I'll be damned if an I-know-better-than-you democrat is going to start now.

No doughnuts. I doubt he could. The thing weighs 22,000lbs. They wouldn't even take it on the banking b/c at the 70mph pace speed, there was concern it would tip over. It had to pace from the apron of the track.

11 fucking tons. 5" bulletproof glass, 8" of bullet/bomb proof plating. The torque needed to overcome the rolling friction of those tires would require insane power. It's rare when a nascar field is being paced by something that has even more HP than those cars...

I've ridden in uparmored Suburbans, Forerunners and vans. The ride and entry/exit are anything but luxurious. I'm sure the Beast has significantly better accommodations, but everything else is secondary to survivability.
