As I was playing for 35 minutes on my lunch hour today I realized something else missing.. where the hell is the AA?

In Wildlands you had fucking SAM's all over the place so you had to be careful where you went and how you did it.. and here.. there's nothing. I can fly from one end of the island to the other and nothing ever bothered to mess with me. Worst case scenario you fly over someone and they get suspicious but by the time they do anything you're long gone.

In Wildlands you had SAM's, you would frequently come across UNIDAD helo's in the sky or Cartel helo's guarding the convoys.. so you had to pick your battles or avoid.. now I can just fly a straight line from A to B on autopilot and not worry about anything. The closest thing I've seen is the Behemoths which will shoot at you, but only if you linger long enough for them to notice and lock onto you.

It's this kind of "Why break what wasn't broken" nonsense that really grinds my gears. I would like there to be dangerous areas where you need skill to evade.. or.. something.

As for the SAM sites. They’re there but there’s only a few. The DLC added a base with like 5 of them. Whatever happened to traditional AA guns?

You are goddamn right. You’d think they’d have AA drones or something.
Yeah.. Even if they were like a super huge one that kind of loitered over the area, you had to evade them either by staying away or flying nap of the earth (which exposes you to ground fire).

I wouldn't want them everywhere but at least in the allegedly highly secure areas. It could be fun if they roamed around too. Provide some random change aspect.

I mean the Phalanx is still used today and they’ve outfitted them for land purposes too.

They need AA emplacements, trucks and armor with different weapons platforms. I mean they only have 3 different trucks with the same useless mini gun. The armored vehicle never shows and the light armor truck with a light cannon is never used. I wish they had another behemoth that will spawn on patrol but carries an AA gun or SAM, not just fire when fired upon. This game needs tanks and light armor.

I was actually legitimately surprised when Ilsa or whatever her name is came at me in the ATTACK HELO in the programmer mission. I'd never seen one actually flying around. I bet I'll never see one flying around again either.

Can we talk about how bad the mini-gun is in the game? It was similarly trash in Wildlands. Is it shooting spitballs? It takes a while to spin up.. but has zero accuracy and takes like 3-5 hits to even kill someone. Such a joke. It takes forever to take down a little bird or really anything.

It's like they bothered to create all the pieces, they just didn't do any of the effort to put them in play.

I haven’t played in awhile.

I occasionally pop into a reddit to see if there are any worthwhile updates coming. If they’re using our feedback to guide what improvements need to be made, we are screwed. Most of the gripes are stupid.

“If only we could have the option of combining a laser with a flashlight on the side rail”

I just don’t get these cosmetic freaks. The game has a shit ton of flaws, but having both a laser and a flashlight in a game that, atmospherically speaking, doesn’t need it, shouldn’t be what makes or breaks your experience. I mean I feel like most of these people would find more enjoyment playing World of Guns on Steam than actually playing it.

Yeah I keep meaning to go back but have no real desire to. I want to finish the story just to say I did it.

I don't even know what I want right now outside of the squad back together. I can't see a way for them to 'patch' fun back into the game.
