To be fair, "Yeesh" is my default reaction to ANY Steve Harvey video...
But yeah, that's pretty crazy yet impressive. I still think it'll be easy enough to tell what's been faked though, even if it takes a little digging. It's just the video equivalent of photoshop, and we have zero trouble identifying fake images. A little fourier transformation analysis, and the fabricated stuff sticks out like a sore thumb.
I don't worry about it from a clinical perspective, because yes it can be found out.. but in today's day and age.. are the masses even bothering to question what they see? If 5 out of 10 people believe it, does it matter that it's blatantly false? Fake news and all that?
Oh, I agree. The general public will struggle with it.
As much as I love Tucker Carlson, the highest rated show on all of cable (not just news), he garners 1.5M viewers. His crusade to expose people/agencies/corporations/pols who don't have our best interests at heart is seen by less than 0.5% of the nation, or roughly one of every 217 people. The masses are already fumbling in the dark.
