I played it for my oldest trying to convince her to cut her boyfriend loose,...he's a poor kid with issues that lives in a trailer, lol. I was convinced he was seeing a "practice girl" waiting for my daughter to give it up,...she dumped him last week, and guess what?!?! I was right! The very next day she sees him with said fat girl, lolz. I love being right in front of the kids, you think they'd stop questioning my intuition, naw, not yet...

I've been listening to Tennis' Ritual in Repeat. A lot. I feel like I should start wearing skinny jeans, Chuck Taylors and a keffiyeh. Help, please!

S.E. Mich :(
Also ended up watching A Million Ways to Die in the West.. which was also OKAY. I really felt like they blew too many good jokes in the trailers, and would have felt a lot more funny if I hadn't know what was coming half the time. I liked the overall story, and I like Seth McFarlane so that helped.

Again, I probably wouldn't have (and didn't) see it in theaters, but it's a fun kick back and don't think kinda movie.
Have had this stuck in my head since last night in the worst way.

God the '80's were the fucking best.
Coincidence?

I knew "Connected" from Hackers, but wasn't familiar with anything else. I wasn't disappointed, though.

It was a massive album in the UK, with like 3 or 4 big hit singles. Back when that used to matter.

They're more aggressive/rock/metal than the Stereo MCs but Senser can be quite funky when they put their mind to it. You might like some of their stuff.

Damn, I wish I was your lover is another one from the "Man, I fucking hated that song" file. My nine-going-on-ten-year-old-self didn't appreciate it, but man, twenty+ years on K-T sure does. When I found a used copy of the LP it's on (.97 plus tax, bitch!) I decided to give Sophie B. a chance.

Not everything on here is my cup 'o tea, but it was (freedom costs a) $1.05 well spent.

Things keep up and this song may be socially relevant again.

Dunno how recently it dropped, but I've been digging the latest The Juan MacLean album, In a Dream. If you dig 80s New Wave, you'll dig this a lot.

I also picked up Oliver Cheatham's Get Down Saturday Night after hearing it in Ex Machina. Good tune to get the girlies shake their booties, yay!

Miami Horror had a new album up on Amazon so I snagged it sound-unheard for $7. I'll wait to d/l it until tomorrow when I'm at the library and can mooch their WiFi, then listen to it coming home.

Been listening to this soundtrack lately. Probably one of the better game soundtracks I've heard in a while.

I was a metal punk thru High School. Metallica, Slayer, MegaDeth, and Black Flag, the Exploited, and GBH.

Then Ministry came out with their Land of Rape & Honey, and A Mind is a Terrible Thing to taste albums where they demonstrated how guitars could be used as weapons of combat. Ever after, 'guitar' music has never really sufficed.

Which is odd, considering the sound Ministry had when they started. People talk about Pantera's glam metal roots, but they had nothing on the 180 degree turnabout of Ministry.
