I love that they think "manhole" is not an appropriate term. And I'll agree with them the instant the number of female sewer workers breaks 1%.
The number of females that have ever been in a manhole for actual work, not including actresses/stunt-people/production-staff doing a movie/tv shoot, in the entire history of the world can probably be counted on one hand. If there is anything named man-something that is less of a misnomer, I'd love to hear it.
I'm just waiting for the day some f#$%tard decides to change "manicure" to "peoplecure".
I can't believe they are going to let this go all the way to the Olympics. If this 40yr old dude goes out and gets a gold medal, how many other 10th place dudes are going to pop some testosterone blockers for 12 months before the next Olympic games to grab a medal? This is ludicrous.
I secretly hope lady boys win every damn women's medal there is.
I'm not sure when we went into denial about differences in physical traits of genders. Most females, even the most fit and strong, admit they can't compete physically with equivalently fit males. That's why we have women's sports. Otherwise we'd just have sports. By having two categories, you're inherently acknowledging that differences exist. The alternative is banishing all gender divides and just having "sports", in which case, 99% of women would simply be excluded. I fail to see how that is an improvement.
The ONLY positive about the whole mess is the joy of watching the woke/pc SJWs eat their own tail, as you can't simultaneously be all about inclusivity and pro-woman at the same time. This is one of those cases where the left will kick it's own ass and we just get to watch.
Neither of my kids is particularly atheletic (they both take karate), but if my daughter was in a sport being dominated by a confused, attention-seeking dude, I'd definitely have something to say.
She’s down to 240 pounds, but she’s struggling to fully accept her future of fewer pounds, both personally and professionally.
“I was a bomb ass girl at almost 400 pounds,” Bigelow said. “Some of these influencers, they talk about being fat and how they love their plus-size bodies and how they’re so empowered in the space that they’re in, and they have all of these women who support them, who are cheering them on. Then fast forward, they lose the weight and you see the before and after pictures: Oh, this is when I was 350 pounds. I was so depressed. I felt so ugly. And this is me now. I’m so happy. I’m so free. Wait a minute, girl. Didn’t you say two years ago when you were 350 pounds that you loved your body and that you loved the size that you were? Me, I came into womanhood as a fat woman. I’m not as confident as I was.”
On the podcast, the comedian, 48, also blasted “cancel culture” and said it has left her feeling scared because no one is given a second chance.
“I think it’s really scary and it’s a very odd thing that it’s invaded the left primarily and the right will mimic it,” adding that she calls it “righteousness porn.”
“It’s like, if you’re not on board, if you say the wrong thing, if you had a tweet once, everyone is, like, throwing the first stone,” she continued. “It’s so odd. It’s a perversion. It’s really, ‘Look how righteous I am and now I’m going to press refresh all day long to see how many likes I get in my righteousness.’”
Help me understand this "far right" of which you speak. Who is considered "far right?" I'm pretty sure anybody that espouses that label is not remotely accepted by conservatives as having any commonality of cause.
Agreed. But it probably depends on who you ask. To some on the left, anyone that doesn't think we should have 17 different "inclusive" bathrooms is "far right". To them, the president and the majority of the senate is "far right". So dumb.
But to us normies, there really are two versions of far right, and I don't think even these two groups overlap:
1) Tea Party types who demand at all costs balanced budgets and ultra-small government.
2) Nutty supremacists. I'm convinced that the number of actual people in this group is a microscopically small number compared to what the MSM would have us all believe.
It really is comical when the left starts to eat it's own. The same comedians who absolutely skewered Al Franken over a nothingburger are suddenly waking up to the absurdity of it all when the left's righteousness police are aiming at them over minor shit from years ago.
It's a sad state when we start being so sensitive that comedy, parody, and lampooning is now an affront. I don't think Sarah's very funny, but censoring comedians is the path to a miserable, angry society... you know, like pretty much all of our enemies. Iran, Russia, China, NK... all humorless wastelands.
You know exactly who I'm talking about.. lol Eddie's people (and some of you guys on some days).
Bring racial anything into the conversation in a negative light is just as bad as using it to prop things up on the other side. Anything "White nationalist" is not conservative. It's hard right, and (as designed I guess) is off-putting to a number of other people.
There are a lot of issues that toe the line, or where it gets complicated, and easily lets you fall into talking points/etc that look & sound like something else. I imagine this is the same on the left, and with the far left with ANTIFA and the like.
Take illegal immigration. It's a fun one we all love..
Do you oppose illegal immigration because its against the law? Or because you don't want more brown people here? Do you oppose it because it's directly impacting you? Or because you're afeared of what it might do in the future?
It's easy to say one, and believe the other.
I have no idea on how widespread things are.. the internet purposefully makes it hard to tell, but it's plainly obvious to me that much more far right stuff is out in the open than it was even 10 years ago. TEA PARTY people were the worst of the worst back then.. now they seem quaint.
Elected Republicans are not doing small government. We're not saving money.. Trump isn't even doing a good job on that either.. Washington (right or left) can't help itself when it comes to money.
Interestingly enough, the tactic of calling everything racism by the left makes actual racism go by all that much smoother.. partly because everyone is so jaded about it, and party because people feel like they're going to get called a racist anyway, might as well be one.
Not sure exactly who "Eddie's people" are. The ones I've seen him reference most often are The Red Elephants guy and Stefan Molyneaux. I'm not always crazy about TRE guy's tone, but both of them generally quote actual FBI statistics about crime rates among different ethnicities, as well as mean IQ and earning potentials, again, based on documented statistics. In all of these, East Asians come out on top. Not sure that equates to "white supremacy," despite what leftists call it. Also, race was injected into pretty much all political discussions, by the left, when they decided white males were the root of all evil in the world (a shockingly racist and sexist decree in the first place). Defense with facts is not racist.
As for illegal immigration. As the husband of a LEGAL immigrant and the father of four half European/half South American children, I can tell you this. I oppose illegal immigration primarily because it's ILLEGAL. What idiot thinks it's a good idea to have more criminals in their country? I oppose it secondarily because it hurts communities that are already the most in need of opportunities. I oppose it thirdly because we the productive pay for not just the illegals, but also the people they take opportunities from. It is not a remotely racist idea. We've been through the process of naturalization and it sucks, but it helps people that come here to be more productive and actually become American (what a concept). Race has zero to do with a person being American (at least until leftists started pinning qualifiers to it).
Wow. Tea Party as "far right?" You mean the people that want lower taxes and smaller government (and really that's about it)? You can't be serious in comparing them in magnitude of "extremism" to BLM/Antifa. What is "normal" right? And if you say the big government RINOs you just called out are "normal right," than conservative in general must be "far right" and "extremist." The government has not shrunk under Trump mainly because, even when he supposedly had a majority in both houses, they were way too infested with these status quo establishment (deep state) RINOs, like McCain, who, single-handedly prevented the revocation of the monster program we all know as Obamacare.
I really think you are seeing racism/supremacy where it isn't. Not sure what's prompting that, but there are very, very few morons out there in the world that think their race is superior because different color. And those morons are evenly distributed among the fringes of both political leanings. Maybe it's all this identity politics (a racist ideology to be sure) that you are seeing, but that falls fully on the shoulders of the left.
I include Tea Party-ers as far right because they are just as intransigent as many of the people we make fun of on the far left. It's not crazy to be for balanced budgets and small government, not at all. I'm for both of those things. However, I am not a Tea Party person. Those folks have never heard of compromise and are often willing to drive the bus off a cliff to make their point. That's where they lose me and why I put them on the far end of the spectrum.
No, they're not crazy supremacists, just like most of the crazy left isn't ANTIFA... but that doesn't make the TP centrists. All of this shit is shades of grey. I'm conservative, but I try not to walk around with blinders on.
I'm against illegal AND legal immigration from non-white countries because *statistically* overwhelmingly, they want/vote for the exact opposite of what I want: more freedom/smaller government. They want less free speech. They want more gun restrictions. They use welfare/social programs at rates far higher than whites. Their crime rates are far higher than white crime rates. *statistically* I don't give two craps about skin color. BUT, skin color does generally happen to be a very good indicator of ideology.
Look at this way. If non-whites voted heavily in favor of republicans, you know dems would fight tooth and nail to keep them out. Would that be racist or protecting their interests?
This racist nonsense is BS meant to keep people from speaking out in favor of their own better interests. It's meant to get people to self censor. I'm not doing that anymore, and many many others are doing the same. People are tired of the double standards.
Ugh. There is just so much more to this topic, but I just don't care anymore.
Also supremacism is one race wanting to rule over other races. Even the farthest farthest right persons I've seen don't want to rule over anyone. They just want separation. They just want to be left alone with freedom of association without being demonized for it. I don't know what's that called, but it's not supremacy.
I would say supermacism is also thinking you're better than someone due to their race. The "White Separatists" (sounds like a Star Wars villain) absolutely think they're better than the other races, thus wanting to separate, so they can do things "right". You think you're better than other races due to the numbers you quote. Maybe you're right?
Either way, even thinking or advocating for separating based on race isn't nationalism at all.. there would be no nation left.
I don't think saying ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS BAD is racist. But I absolutely thing some people who say that are racist. It's not mutually exclusive (like the left would insinuate). This is where real, actual racism on the right can hide in the shadows of "well I guess EVERYTHING is racist now!". The fact that the left will not and apparently cannot find the distinction leads to everyone being a racist, or no one is a racist.. and either way, the actual racists win.
I would say it goes the same way on the other side, though hopefully not as bad, but I don't know. Would the majority of the people on the right treat all transpeople the same? Or stop and listen to their individual stories before passing judgement.. I'd like to hope for the latter.. but think it'd probably be the former.. especially with online quick-takes.
I don't feel that the right or left is doing its job well, and neither really appeal to me. The left is just too wacky, and the right might have good ideas, but consistently fails to enforce them.
Everyone hates each other now and I don't see it getting any better anytime soon, but I refuse to let myself get on board too much.
We need to start a new Party called Common... er... that’s to close to communism, so Middle Ground. Like guns with sensible restraints and a sure fire process to ban dickheads who walk around Walmart with a rifle strapped to there back? Welcome to Middle Ground. Want to be able to do whatever you want behind closed doors on property you own? Welcome to middle ground. Do what you want, stop preaching to others, just follow the reasonable laws and enjoy your life. Stop telling other how to live.
Yes, but Libertarian has been tainted and maybe even saturated with an alt right tint. We need a fresh approach that highlights the Left side of the freedoms supported like smoking Mary J while dressing like a girl and pegging your bestie John during an online match of Fortnight. Desperately need to shave off that 1/6th of screamers on each end of the spectrum who want to do nothing but fight and argue because they know what’s correct so the 2/3rds of us in the middle who just want to live our lives can run this shit and ignore them.
