I really wanted to modify some of the ARW helmets and heads so I went ahead and bought a bunch of casting stuff. I'm fairly pleased with the results. There were some casting anomalies which I turned into battle weathering or damage with painting. My pictures are crap...
The helmet and head in the middle are the original pieces
I wanted to remove the visor so that it appeared to be up behind the cover on the helmet. This is my raptor pilot inspired head.
Baboon head,
Shark mouth;
An almost complete hole in the back of this helmet is now a blast mark. Original soldier likely died...I imaging gear gets recycled in this universe....
I'm very happy with my corrosion techniques and the small pitting at the injection tube actually helps with the corroded look.
