Updating the build. It's coming along. Had a few things set me back in real life so I am not where I would like to be with this yet. I got new wheels, added storage underneath, built up rear steps, and started the roof. Stay tuned....

Hi HJ, I am using scissors to cut the larger pieces out and then go in with a xacto knife for the finer stuff. I am using .060" thick styrene. I am using Testors model glue to hold all together. There are also a few Legos in there to hold right angles and vertical surfaces...

I'm back again right into my next project....a scratch built 6 wheeled MRAP! So far I have the drivers cabin and the basic shape worked out. Does anybody have any decent wheel ideas? The IFV wheels would be awesome but I do not have a spare one. I am scratch building this bad boy...

Yes HJ, it is styrene except for the Joe parts(vamp lower body). I am going to have to go with the APC Wheels. I havent foudn anythign else that works for the moment. Maybe later on I will find something better and just swap them out.

Ok, need some advice: I yanked the wheels off of a GI Joe APC and mocked them up on the truck. Are these any better or should I keep looking? I dont like the oversized John Deere Tractor wheels folks have put on this truck before so Im looking for something a little more "tame"?

I have been looking for nicer wheels/tires for this....so far nothing I liked. It is actually jacked up using styrene and some inspiration form Digler with Legos. Here's an update: Lots more work to do....

I used to work on -53's back in the day so I know them pretty well. It would take a HELL of a lot of work. I dont have great cutomizing kung fu but I will give it a shot. BTW, that custom above is the tits. Mucho badass!

K-Tiger, that custom is pretty nice. I was thinking heavier mods though. I have to finish up my "Vamp-to-MRAP" truck first. Then comes the helo! After that, maybe modding/repainting my Sigma-Six Dragonhawk to be usefull for 4" figs.
