These are the 2 last hinds that I will do.
I worked on 2 at the same time.
Spaning over 3 months and taking 390 actual hours to do.
Cold war clover pattern.
Just started to rain , so the modern came may not make it today.
Hey Guys,
The next 2 Hind fuselages are ready for final paint .
One will be the modern paint and the other Cold War clover scheme .
The Afghan template took me 4 days to make.
I went back to my original idea of using a rubber shower pan to make the templates
This seems to be much easier than...
You guys are right , there is a lot of give and take when dealing with scale items.
The Indy bike is actually closer to 1/16 scale but my side car is 1/18th.
Making them work together was a challenge.
Another challenge is making something that will be copied .
You have to build something...
Looks good !
I made and kitted one years ago but the molds are shot now.
I have had quite a few guys want one but this damn Hind project is holding me back.
Here is a quicky full build that I did .
No weathering
brake handles on backwards ( the Indy's are anyway)
No fender stifiners.
So far only 2.
Another 6 more to go.
i am trying to work on 2 at a time now.
Hopefully I passed the learning curve and should be a little faster to get these 2 out.
Hopefully.
We shall see.
Thanks .
Yes this livery is of an actual UN Hind .
One of the hardest thigs was to get those red dot centered on the air intake filters.
All of the marks on both Hinds were done with stencils .
Lots of work but worth it .
Thank you Gunter Scout .
This has been a long project as stated before each unit is taking over 200-250 to build.
I am almost done with my next one.
A UN version for Lee P.
He was the first one to order a full build so many years ago.
Great job.
The turret looks great along with the paint jobs.
The BH with the 4 bladed prop who makes that ?
Did you customize the prop hub on a BBI or is that one of the Peace Keepers helos ?
